Just a thought

"No pain that we suffer, not trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude, and humility. ... It is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation that we gain the education that we come here to acquire."
                                 - Elder Orson F. Whitney

"But he knoweth the way that take; when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."
                                 -Job 23:10

  2. If our life is a story, then it would be a very boring one if we never had any adventures. Where would we be without our arch-rivals, bad luck and hard days? We are only heroes if we pass through hardships, and come back as better people for it.
